I love action movies. I love comics. And director, Louis Letterier, have made an excellent job in combining the 2 to bring this Marvel comic's green monster, The Incredible Hulk, to the big silverscreen. He even addressed the mind boggling question as to why his purple pants are still on after the transformation. This movie brings about a bery nice mixture of family, love, politics, crisis management, and overall action, thriller and suspense. All the ingredients of a good comic book. And Louis Letterier successfully transformed it into the silverscreen for us movie buffs to enjoy.

Edward Horton (as Dr. Bruce Banner) and Liv Tyler (as Dr. Betty Ross) gives a good performance to depict the hardship and frustration of their torn and forcefully separated love-life. And the fighting scenes between Hulk and Abomination really kept me on the edge of my seat.

I don't need to say more, just like the speechless Incredible Hulk in this movie, I'll just let the movie speak for itself.

Oh, it's a worthy mention that Stan Lee (creator of various Marvel Comic characters) and Lou Ferrigno (original Hulk for the 1978 TV Series) had special cameo in this movie. And Robert Downey Jr (Tony Stark in Ironman) has a special cameo too. So watch out for them!

Iron Man 82% A (PG13)

US Rated PG-13 for violence actions and some suggestive contents.

This comic book adaptation is the typical boy movie with all the mechanical and robotic stuffs. Action packed, highly explosive and totally intelligent, with lots of CGI effects, this movie will defnitely win awards.

This movie addresses some issues regarding the current war-ridden world that we live in now, and how it's not too late to do something about it.

I like the intelligent character of Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) who can inspire children to be interested in Physics, Mathematics and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. Gwyneth Paltrow (as the clever, resourceful, prim and proper, Pepper Potts, personal assistant to Tony Stark) provides something for the girls to look up to in this male dominant comic flick.

The ending somehow is a bit anti climax so I suppose I need to watch out for the sequel.

Another must watch this summer.

What happens in Vegas - 70% B

Tagline: Get Lucky.

Havent laughed so much at the movies since I can remember. One of the better love comedies I have come across and you will have to watch it to enjoy it. Give this movie a try, I dont think you'll regret watching the 2 tall love birds (Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher) at the big screen. Although Cameron may look a little old for Ashton but hey, both of the actors are/were involved in similar relationships in real life, so what's not to believe

Umm..., you may want to wait for the DVD as there's some parts censored from the theaters here.

Meet Joe Black - 90% A+

Just watched this movie over astro 30 minutes ago and it's still as good as it was when I watched it nearly 10 years ago.

This is the type of love story that really touches one's heart. It talks about pretty much all kinds of love.... unselfish fatherly love, relentless attempts to please your father due to your undying love for him, passion for the company or your job, loyalty of your colleagues, love at first sight, love for your spouse/partner and basically loving your life... Of course, it comes with suspense, drama, betrayal, and a pinch of humour to spice up the story but the main theme of the movie is basically love and life.

I guess people who have REALLY fallen in love and have their love returned just as genuinely would FEEL for this movie. I think this is one of the best love story ever made, and I still cry at the words exchanged between the lovebirds in the movie, especially when they felt that they had to part. No goodbyes were exchanged but their "hard to let go" emotions filled their faces and their body language projected their sorrows. I really feel for the couple as both of them has fallen in love with other but couldn't be together, because he cant share his deep dark secret... that he is Death, himself.... and is on a mission to claim her father's life. Somehow she knows (can feel it) but still loves him... which makes the tug on the heart unbearable.

You will say that the sypnosis sounds like they typical love story but the witty dialogues exchanged really captured my heart. And amusing too to find Death learning about love and life on Earth.

Here are some to take home:

William Parrish: Love is passion, obsession, someone you can't live without. If you don't start with that, what are you going to end up with? Fall head over heels. I say find someone you can love like crazy and who'll love you the same way back. And how do you find him? Forget your head and listen to your heart. I'm not hearing any heart. Run the risk, if you get hurt, you'll come back. Because, the truth is there is no sense living your life without this. To make the journey and not fall deeply in love - well, you haven't lived a life at all. You have to try. Because if you haven't tried, you haven't lived.

Susan Parrish: I like making love to you, it's like you're making love the first time.
Joe Black: Thank you.
Susan Parrish: Do you love making love to me?
Joe Black: Yes
Susan Parrish: More than peanut butter?
Joe Black: Yes. Much more.

Susan Parrish: Tell me you love me now.
Joe Black: I love you now. I love you always.

Watch this if you have missed it 10 years ago, or watch it again, to remind ourselves that years of our lives goes by in a blink of an eye. And thus, if, during this journey, we haven't TRULY fallen head over heels with someone, then we haven't really lived...(quoting from William Parrish (starring Anthony Hopkins)). The fact that this movie stars Anthony Hopkins and Brad Pitt is a main bonus but it's the dialogue you must not miss.

And the way Director Martin Brest choreographed the backdrop to go with the dialogue is absolutely perfect. I like the part where the dying Anthony Hopkins, while watching the beautiful fireworks display, exclaimed, "Yes, it's hard to let go, isn't it? That's life." Equally brilliant was the following dialogue, said while the couple ran towards the fireworks background. Kinda like showing how life and love is much like the beautiful fireworks; beautiful, explosive, exciting and you'll never know what you will see next.

Joe Black: Oh, it'll come to us.

Enchanted - 75%

I am enchanted by this silly fairy tale in a modern world love story. Although nothing in this movie make much sense, it gives some hope to this divorce-stricken world with it's whacky fairy tale concept of love.

A mixture of Bollywood, Snow White/Cinderella, Roger Rabbit, King Kong, Adam Sandler's kind of silly love movie, this show truly packs some good humour...

If you have read my blogs often, you'd see I am not a fan of love stories, especially not love comedies... but this one is pretty creative and worth watching.

Kingdom-80%

I like this show because I felt scared. I mean this show actually brings out the fear, the anxiousness, the agony of losing a love one brutally, of the people who lived in the middle east during the war. It has lots of gun fire and bombings but don't expect action pack from starting till the end as it's a little bit prone to drama side.

Nevertheless, this show is an eye opener for me as it shows the feelings of both parties in the war... i.e. it's not lob-sided as to who is right and who is wrong in a war. And it teaches us not to stereotype - the same team of people can have good and bad nuts, so we shouldn't generalise that all the people in the team is bad if one is caught to be a bad nut.

Worth watching, just to experience it....

Stardust - 75%

Haven't seen such an enjoyable semi fairy tale love story, semi fantasy adventure kinda movie in a long time, so it's a welcome change for me.

Like it very much... especially the meaningful concept of love...
